We are all travelers in the wilderness of this world,
and the best we can find in our travels is an honest friend.
~ Robert Louis Stevenson
Another year has come and gone, leaving behind the hope that we have all grown not just a bit older, but also a bit wiser. And that’s the rub, isn’t it? To live and learn, as the old man said, that’s the way to play the game and win.
This day marks a bookend of sorts. Twas one year ago that Sterns-Carson Sanitarium opened its doors and invited the world to step inside. Volume I of The Raven Chronicles is bound and on the shelf.
For those of you who accepted the invitation to enter this world, the pleasure has been mine. And thank you.
In the New Year, please invite a friend to come along, because I’ve got the feeling that 2012 has a few sinister surprises in store for Father Leavell, Dr. Agnostica, Rhea Sinclair and everyone else involved in the unfolding saga of The Raven Chronicles, and you just might need a hand to hold.
I truly wish you all a hale and hearty and prosperous New Year.
Now ring those bells, there’s miles to go, before we sleep.
